Grama Bay Tour

Grama Bay is one of the most extraordinary natural sites on the Albanian coast — a perfectly sheltered bay ringed by limestone cliffs, whose walls carry ancient inscriptions left by Greek and Roman sailors between the 3rd century BC and the 4th century AD. The water is a supernatural shade of turquoise, calm enough to see the bottom from the boat.

We anchor inside the bay for 2–3 hours of swimming, snorkeling, and exploration. Lunch stop at a local fisherman's restaurant on the way back.

The Karaburun Peninsula forms the western arm of the Vlora Bay — a 35km spine of raw, uninhabited limestone jutting into the Adriatic. Its coastline is a succession of sea arches, towering cliffs, submerged caves, and hidden beaches accessible only by boat. This is our most dramatic route.

We navigate the full length of the peninsula, stopping at the most spectacular formations and entering several accessible sea caves. Multiple swimming stops in secluded coves.

Sazan is Albania's only inhabited island — though barely. During the Cold War it was a top-secret naval base accessible only to the military. Today its network of underground tunnels, abandoned submarine pens, and decaying military infrastructure create an atmosphere of eerie, fascinating history set against pristine natural beauty.

We circumnavigate the island before landing for an exploration of the accessible military ruins. The surrounding waters are some of the clearest in the Adriatic.

Haxhi Ali is the Albanian Riviera's most mystical natural landmark — a sea cave of cathedral proportions where sunlight enters through a narrow opening and refracts through the water to paint the stone walls in shifting shades of green and blue. Locals have revered this place for centuries.

Our half-day tour includes swimming inside the cave (conditions permitting), snorkeling the surrounding reef, and stops at several other sea caves along the Karaburun coastline.
